The election is an exciting opportunity to provide the residents of Tiverton, Bristol, and Portsmouth with a passionate and diligent public servant in the RI Senate. I have spent the past five years listening, learning, and representing the people of Tiverton and, with your help, I know I can bring that same level of diligence and care to the region and the state. I understand the pressures put on a town by legislation in Providence, unfunded mandates, and reduced revenue sharing; all while costs are shifted to the towns and cities. This district needs a Senator who will stand up and speak out for the people left in the margins. The voices too often drowned out by Providence and the fervor of the political process.


Economy and Education

Brett Pelletier is a lifelong Tiverton resident and 2001 graduate of Tiverton High School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bentley College, where he focused on Finance and Real Estate. He is employed as a Senior Real Estate Analyst with the Boston-based Kirk & Company: Real Estate Counselors, having joined the firm in 2005. Prior to joining Kirk & Company, he served as campaign intern with John Kerry for President and interned in the Boston office of the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy.

Brett was first elected to the Tiverton Town Council in 2010 and was re-elected in 2012 and 2014. He is the Council liaison to the following boards and commissions: Economic Development, Planning Board, Harbor & Coastal Waters Management, Historic Preservation Advisory Committee, Library Board, and the Tax Exemption Review Committee. He serves as an ex-officio member of the Land Use Procedural Improvements Committee and the Seaside Gas Station Ad-hoc Committee.

Brett is a member of the Herreshoff Marine Museum, the Preservation Society of Newport County, and the Fall River Historical Society, non-profit organizations that preserve and protect the maritime and architectural heritage of the region. Additionally, Brett is the president of the board of directors of the Striving Artists Theatre Company of Beverly, Massachusetts; a non-profit performing arts.
